Discovery Addressable Detectors

Discovery is a range of high-specification, intelligent fire detectors developed to meet the requirements of sophisticated systems while providing engineers with an additional dimension in fire protection capability. Discovery has a ‘distributed intelligence system’ where decisions are made in the detector head as well as at the control panel. Drift compensation is also incorporated into the detector, allowing it to adapt to dirty or dusty environments reducing false alarms.

Discovery Optical Smoke Detector

The Discovery Optical Smoke Detector is a photoelectric detector which works using the light scatter principle and it ideal for applications where slow burning or smoldering fires are likely.

Discovery Multisensor Detector

The Discovery Multisensor Detector comprises of optical smoke and thermistor temperature sensors whose respective outputs can be split to deliver specific smoke or thermal actions respectively. This capability can aid early alarm warning routines and other detection techniques.

Discovery Heat Detector

The Discovery Heat Detector, distinguishable by the low airflow resistance case, uses a single thermistor to sense the air temperature around the detector.

Discovery Manual Call Point

The Discovery Manual Call Point is compliant with EN54-11. The address of each call point is set at the commissioning stage by means of a seven segment DIL switch. The device features plug and play terminal connections and a resettable element.
